NBC Continues its Strong SNF Ratings- NBC Sports reports that the Sunday Night Football (SNF) telecast between the Texans and Bears this past Sunday had a rating of 12.4 and an audience of 20.9 million viewers. The rating was 4% below 2011 and the audience was equal to last year’s week ten game (Pats/Jets). Through ten weeks SNF has an average rating of 12.8 and an audience of 21.2 million viewers, on par with 2011.
NFL Turning Point Tomorrow on NBCSN- The next edition of NFL Turning Point on the NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) will feature a look back at the key plays of the Falcons/Saints and Cowboys/Eagles games. The program will also look back at the success of Denver’s Peyton Manning and a look ahead at the NBC Sunday Night game between the Ravens and Steelers. Dan Patrick hosts the program beginning tomorrow night at 10:00p.m. ET.
NFL Network Replay Schedule- THE NFL Network (NFLN) will once again be replaying three games from this past weekend. At 8:00p.m. ET tonight NFLN will show the Falcons at the Saints. at 9:30p.m. ET tonight the Bills at Patriots will be shown. Tomorrow at 9:00p.m. ET the Cowboys at Eagles will get a second airing.
College Gameday in Eugene- This week’s ESPN’s College Gameday will come from Eugene, OR as Oregon takes on Stanford. The program begins at 9:00 a.m. ETon ESPNU and 10:00 a.m. ET on ESPN with Chris Fowler, analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack, and host/reporter Samantha Steele and Tom Rinaldi. The game will be televised on ABC at 8:00 p.m. WT with Brent Musburger and Herbstreit on the call and Heather Cox reporting.
Notre Dame/Wake Forest on NBC Sports- NBC Sports will televise the next to the last game of the undefeated Notre Dame college football season this Saturday as the Irish host Wake Forest. Kick-off is 3:30p.m. ET with Tom Hammond, Mike Mayock, and Alex Flanagan on the call. Liam McHugh, Doug Fluite, and Hines Ward will provide pre and post game commentary from South Bend. The Irish’s success has translated to viewership success for NBC. Through six games Irish match-ups are averaging a 3.0 rating and 4.68 million viewers, up 76% compared to last year in both categories.
ESPN has NBA Doubleheaders Wednesday and Friday- ESPN will have a pair of NBA games both Wednesday and Friday. Wednesday at 8:00p.m. ET the Grizzlies take on the Thunder with Dave Pasch and Doris Burke on the call. At 10:30p.m. Mike Tirico, Jeff Van Gundy, and Lisa Salters call the Heat at the Clippers. On Friday at 7:00p.m. ET Terry Gannon and Jon Barry will call the Jazz at 76ers while the Knicks at Grizzlies are on tap at 9:30p.m. ET with Mike Breen and Hubie Brown.
College Hockey this Friday on NBC Sports Network- The NBC Sports Network begins its coverage of college hockey this Friday as Cornell takes on Harvard. The puck drops at 7:30p.m. ET with Mike “Doc” Emrick and Pierre McGuirre on the call.
NBC Names Bell as Executive Producer of NBCUniversal’s Olympics Sports Coverage- Jim Bell, the Executive Producer for NBC’s coverage of the 2012 London Olympics, has been hired by the network to be the full-time Executive Producer of NBCUniversal’s coverage of the Olympic Games. Bell will have creative and editorial control of the network’s coverage of the Games and will report directly to NBC Sports Group Chairman Mark Lazarus.
24/7 Pacquiao/Marquez 4 Debuts this Weekend on HBO- HBO Sports will debut its latest 24/7 series this weekend in anticipation of the boxing match between Manny Paqcuiao and Juan Manuel Marquez. The four part 24/7 Pacquio/Marquez 4 premieres this Saturday at 12:15a.m. ET/PT.
