NFL Network has Complete Coverage of League’s Shortened “Off-Season”

With the lockout over the the NFL back in business, teams have a lot of work to do to prep for the 2011 season.  The NFL Network has developed a slate of programs to guide fans through all the news that will be made over the next few days.

More than 90 hours of coverage will be devoted to the activity around the league in the wake of the start of free agency and training camps opening.  The coverage actually started yesterday and will continue through Sunday.  Coverage will begin daily at 9:00a.m. and run throughout each day.

The NFL has taken the wraps off the complete schedule of pre-season games.  The match-ups were first unveiled in April but no dates or times were attached to it.  Games begin Thursday, August 11th.

Big Lead Sports to Offer Fantasy Football Talk on SiriusXM

Big Lead Sports and SiriusXM have teamed to produce a series of fantasy sports programs on the satellite radio network.

Beginning August 2nd Big Lead Sports will provide hosts for the fantasy programs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night on SiriusXM Fantasy Radio, Channel 87 on XM and Channel  210 on Sirius Premier.

“Big Lead Sports boasts some of the most knowledgeable fantasy sports minds in the game,” said Steve Cohen, SiriusXM’s SVP of Sports Programming in a press release.  “These experts have been helping fantasy sports players win their leagues for years and we’re thrilled to welcome them to the SiriusXM Fantasy Sports roster.  Their addition further enhances our channel as a must-have for fantasy fans across the country.”

“We are excited to partner with SiriusXM on this unique programming initiative,” said Chris Russo, CEO of Big Lead Sports.  “In addition to our weeknight programs, we look forward to developing special event broadcasts and other distinctive content for the SiriusXM audience.”

Big Ten Network Has Football Media Day Covered

The Big Ten Network (BTN) will offer comprehensive coverage of this Thursday’s Football Media Day from Chicago.

BTN will have five hours of live coverage of the days events, including the press conferences of all 12 Big Ten head coaches.  BTN will also cover the press conferences of Big Ten supervisor of football officials Bill Carollo, BTN President Mark Silverman and Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany.

All activities begin at 11:00a.m. ET on the television network as well as BTN.com.  Mike Hall and Chris Martin will anchor the coverage.

BTN will also have coverage of the Big Ten Football Kick-off Luncheon on August 6th.

ESPN To Produce Oklahoma All-Access

ESPN once again this year produce a behind-the-scenes look at a college football program prepping for the upcoming season.

This year the Oklahoma Sooners will be featured in Oklahoma All-Access, a look at the inner workings of a big-time college football program.  The debut of the program will be split into two 30 minute shows to air at 7:00p.m. and 7:30p.m. on August 23rd.  Pieces of the show will also air as five part excerpts on College Football Live, SportsCenter, and other studio programs from August 15-19.

The full two-part series will also be repeated on the following schedule:
