ESPN has announced that it is expanding College Gameday this coming college basketball season. As was the case last season the program will originate from the site of the Saturday Primetime college basketball telecast.
Similar to what is being done with College Gameday for college football, the first hour of the show (beginning at 10:00a.m.) will air on ESPNU. ESPN will take over coverage at 11:00a.m. and air an evening edition of the show prior to that night’s game.
Rece Davis will serve as host with returning analysts Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps, Hubert Davis and Bob Knight.
The eight week schedule begins January 15th:
Jan 15- Knoxville, Tenn. 10 a.m. & 7 p.m. Vanderbilt at Tennessee (men’s game) noon & Vanderbilt at Tennessee (women’s game) 8 p.m.
Jan 22- West Lafayette, Ind. 10 a.m. & 8 p.m. Michigan State at Purdue 9 p.m.
Jan 29- Lawrence, Kan. 10 a.m. & 6 p.m. Kansas State at Kansas 7 p.m.
Feb 5- Gainesville, Fla. 10 a.m. & 8 p.m. Kentucky at Florida 9 p.m.
Feb 12- Villanova, Pa. 10 a.m. & 8 p.m. Pittsburgh at Villanova 9 p.m.
Feb 19- Lansing, Mich. 10 a.m. & 8 p.m. Illinois at Michigan State 9 p.m.
Feb 26- Blacksburg, Va. 10 a.m. & 8 p.m. Duke at Virginia Tech 9 p.m.
Mar 5- Waco, Texas 10 a.m. & 8 p.m. Texas at Baylor 9 p.m.
