Jim Nantz should not do any games in the tournament. He has not done a game all years It a crime
Is this the final NCAA Tournament for Dick Enberg? I read somewhere that now that he’s doing the Padres games, he hopes to do US Open and occassional NFL work. Ill miss Craig Bolerjack this year, hopefully he will return next year if this is in fact, Enbergs last tournament.
I sure do hope the CBS announcers are less partial during the NCAA tournament than the announcers were during the division play. Yes, they can have their own opinion, however, when they are on the job, they should be more objective. After all, they are calling a game for millions of people, many pulling for each team and it would be nice if they would be more objective and not so one sided.
anyone know which games gus and len are calling this week?
Yes CBS DOES SOMETIMES SHOW FAVORITISMS TOWARDS THE POWER CONFERENCE TEAMS. I live in philly and I Don’t understand why Temple does not have majority of its games shown locally in the city , most of the time their games are unshown locally and the last time I checked they defeated Villanova this season and nova still received a 2# seed while Temple got screwed as a 5# seed and have to take on a good and sometimes great Cornell team that could knock them out for the third straight season in round one I feel sorry for Fran Dunphy who is a great head coach except for those of you people who do not live in Philadelphia. You don’t even know who he is . Jim Nantz is a great announcer but he does not deserve to be number one on all major CBS EVENTS, I would like to see Verne Lundquist , Clark Kellogg stay together and have Greg Anthony team up with Gus Johnson , Nantz and Raftery pair up. Duke is overrated and I like The Cal Golden Bears to beat them in round 2 and for them to advance to the Final Four as an 8# seed. They won thirteen conference games and finished as conference reg champs and they deserve that spot. Why because Pac 10 games are only shown regionally on Fox College Sports. Cal is probably the most explosive offensive team in the field of 65 , they can score on anybody in the nation and it will show right before everyone ‘s eyes they will be in Indianapolis at the Final Four. They remind me of last year’s Villanova team who at the same rate won exactly thirteen conference games in the big east never really threaten to be number one in the polls and still nearly won it all.
ESPN SHOULD ROTATE ANNOUNCING CREWS DURING THE REGULAR SEASON ,Vitale for once in your life can you go a whole season without calling any Duke or North Carolina Games I would like to see you out West somewhere doing a Gonzaga or New Mexico Game. Why do the Big East have sixteen teams that’s to many in one conference. Louisville ,Cincinnati, Marquette, and Depaul should go back in the conference with Memphis it would be better competition for Conf.USA.
Oh one more thing stop showing Duke and North Carolina all the time , I still don’t know Maryland’s starting five that’s because their unseen across the country TV WISE ,I BELIEVE I ‘VE only seen them play on national television twice and you know what both games came against oh you bet the spoiled Duke Blue Devils. Maryland can probably get to the regional final or as easily get bounced early in the first round I Don’t know if they are as good as second in the ACC.
How did Kansas State get a 2# seed they can’t get over the hump versus a team that’s better than them in Kansas a team who beat them three times in one year they are kind of boring offensively and even though I picked them to get to the elite eight before Syracuse destroy them i’m not too sure if BYU Won’t trip them up in round two. That’s the uncertainty of these teams . Are Georgetown as good as the 3# seed they got, the last time I checked they lost a total of nine conference games and they are a classic heltah – skeltah team one bad game out in round 2 or if they come to play they have the potential to get in the national title game before losing to Kentucky. Oh my fault if Kentucky struggles to hit outside shots maybe the Hoyas gets them and cut down the nets as NCAA CHAMPS.
Don’t know who is announcing the OU vs GTOWN game but is sure would be nice if they would give Ohio University the recogition they deserve. It is OHIO UNIVERSITY vs GEORGETOWN not Ohio State. Please do your research before opening your mouth.
