Welcome to our 2010 debut of the Sports Media Weekly Podcast.

Ken Fang from Fang’s Bites and I are joined for the entire program this week by Sports Illustrated Media Writer Richard Deitsch.

Some of the topics on the table; ESPN launching a 3D television channel sometime this spring…whether it’s time to take the writers away from voting for the Halls of Fame…the impact Peter Gammons will have on the MLB Network…and the end of Fox’ reign as the BCS Bowls telecaster.

We also spend time with Richard talking about his experience away from SI as a fellow at the University of Michigan and discussing what he reads each day. We close the show (30 minutes later) by correctly pronouncing Richard’s last name…(Insert foot in mouth here)
