Matt Millen, a far better broadcaster than a club executive, is joining ESPN, the network announced today. Millen will be a college football game analyst and an NFL studio commentator. As I wrote before in a different forum, Millen’s authority as an analyst could be compromised by his disastrous run as head of the Lions. However, I’ve always found Millen a welcome presence either in the booth or in the studio.

I can’t wait for Millen and Mel Kiper Jr. to argue about the draft and Kiper to bring up Millen’s draft record in Detroit.
